Mite types
There is a whole series of mite types. Beside the house dust mite, there are still cushion mites, reserve mites as well as run mites. In favorable surroundings for the mites, the mites put eggs and the mites multiply quickly. Despite the dangerous secretions the mites are not visible with bare eyes and become only 0,2 - 1 millimeters in size.
Responsible for the house dust allergy
The house dust mites are probably the best known mites among the mites. More and more also the reserve mite is brought in context of allergic illnesses, above all in rural areas, these mites are strongly widespread.
Allergy triggers: Mites

Habitat of the house dust mites
With a relative humidity of 65, 80 percent and a temperature of 25, 30 degree Celsius mites feel really well and multiplies accordingly more strongly. With climbing area temperatures, the house dust mites require also more room humidity. Fluctuations in temperature and humidity the mites usually survive several days, especially if they get heat and moisture sufficiently for a few hours daily. Optimal residence therefore is our bed and there on the other hand the mattress. House dust mites live also in the wide domestic area and populate cushions and textiles there, even if the reproductive ability is restricted there. Allergie causing particles are located also in garments and our hair.
Food of house dust mites
Mites actually are waste gluttons. Skin sheds, mold spores and fungi serve as food. Mold is more or less concentrated is to be found throughout our surroundings, in mattresses, the concentration is through our body liquid (perspiration) rather high. Perished skin sheds of people are the main food component and, the reasons, why house dust mites feeling well in our human surroundings and they especially populate the mattress is sufficiently heat, moisture and food. The human being loses approximately 1,5 grams of skin shed per day, this quantity is enough to nourish about millions of house dust mites.
House dust mites produce Allergies
A multiplicity of allergy particles is located in the excrement of the mites. The attraction-causing excrement is strongly protein-containing and contains Guanin. After the drying- process, the mite excrement dissolves into micro-fine particles, mixes with the normal house dust, these particles then reach over our breath ways to our mucous membranes. House dust mites and their allergie causing particles are the triggers of this widespread allergy in interiors. The burden in living spaces can be determined over allergy tests, tests are taken to it from surfaces like floor, cushions and mattress.
Breath way illnesses, skin illnesses
High concentrations of the allergie causing particles produced through house dust mites in the house dust are brought in the direct context for chronic Breathway diseases as well as asthma. Direct skin contact with the allergie causing particles can lead to further trouble with already existing skin problems. With Neurodermitis patients, eczemas can get worse and thrusts can be clearly more aggressively.
